Geraldine Ferraro, Shame On You for Pulling the Race Card!

UPDATE: GERALDINE FERRARO STEPS DOWN FROM FINANCE COMMITTEE….
Former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro has managed to stir up more controversy for Hillary Clinton’s campaign. I had previously admired Ms. Ferraro for her public service and being a cancer survivor. She was a trailblazer in her own right. But I guess, all that just flew threw the window. She made some really racist comments about Barack Obama and then had the nerve to say she was being attacked because she is white. She is being attacked because she said something so racially insensitive and utterly inappropriate. Hillary Clinton needs to remove her from her campaign and stop being a hypocrite. Yes, she will lose what little black vote she had left for sure.

Geraldine Ferraro’s statements have come back and has hit her like a ton of bricks:

“Any time anybody does anything that in any way pulls this campaign down and says, ‘Let’s address reality and the problems we’re facing in this world,’ you’re accused of being racist, so you have to shut up,” she told the Daily Breeze of Torrance, California. “Racism works in two different directions. I really think they’re attacking me because I’m white. How’s that?”
She told a FOX News interviewer, “I got up and the question was asked, ‘Why do you think Barack Obama is in the place he is today” as the party’s delegate front-runner?” “I said in large measure, because he is black. I said, Let me also say in 1984 — and if I have said it once, I have said it 20, 60, 100 times — in 1984, if my name was Gerard Ferraro instead of Geraldine Ferraro, I would never have been the nominee for vice president,” she said.
In her first interview with Daily Breeze, published late last week, Ferraro said, “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

Hillary Clinton needs to not only distance itself from her, but they must remove her from the campaign’s finance committee. Last week when Hillary was called a “monster” by one of Obama’s foreign policy advisers, she resigned immediately. Hillary is a damn monster if she can put up with this racial insensitivity. But alas, this is nothing new with the Clinton campaign. They have fanned the flames of racial tensions, starting with Bill Clinton. Clinton’s campaign manager Maggie Williams needs to get a grip and stop trying to blame Barack Obama from expressing his disgust with the comments. It is obvious that the Clinton campaign does not want to change the tone of the campaign–the whole kitchen sink notion. They are, in essence, alienating a lot of voters. As Warren Ballentine said recently, Hillary Clinton needs to just step down and get out of the way of progress. By the way, why haven’t we heard from Hillary black posse–Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee? To the Clinton campaign and Geraldine Ferraro, I say SHAME ON YOU IN A MAJOR WAY!
