Todd Palin Had Unusual Access to Governor Sarah Palin’s Top Aides, Claims She Didn’t Know

Todd Palin finally realized that he didn’t have a leg to stand on and decided to comply with the subpoena. Todd Palin and Gov. Palin’s top aides said that the governor was kept in the dark while her husband repeatedly asked top state officials to help get his former brother-in-law kicked off the state police force. Right. Who is the bigger fool in all this? I am sure she knew what was going on. But wait, it gets better…..

Lawmakers were scheduled to meet Friday and release a report on the case, which could shed light on how Palin governs and what role her husband played in her administration. Yep, seems like we have a “shadow governor” and a potential “shadow vice president.” It seems that the affidavits may help to bolster Sarah Palin’s defense, but they may reveal that her husband met repeatedly with her aides about family affairs. That basically tells me that the governor isn’t really in charge of things, her husband is. It also reinforces the fact that she is far from ready for the vice presidency, let alone the presidency. People were worried that Bill Clinton would overshadow his wife if she was the Democratic candidate for the White House. At least he had tons of experience. What is Todd Palin’s claim to fame? Did he even go to college? Does a commercial fisherman qualify one to be a governor, even a shadow governor?
“I have heard criticism that I am too involved in my wife’s administration,” Todd Palin wrote in his affidavit. “My wife and I are very close. We are each other’s best friend. I have helped her in her career the best I can, and she has helped me.” Geez, so how come she didn’t know you were going behind her back trying to get the guy fired? Todd Palin had an extraordinary level of access to a variety of the governor’s top aides. That is a clear conflict of interest and should never have happened or been allowed. Did the voters of Alaska elect Todd Palin to be their governor?
According to media reports, during his testimony, he told emotional stories about Wooten threatening and emotionally abusing his family. He said he talked to anyone who would listen. He gave them photos and documents, which they forwarded to others in the administration, and he questioned how Wooten kept his job. Even Gov. Palin’s special assistant, Ivy Frye, said she was distraught when she was told about the situation. “I’ve felt empathy for the Palin and Heath families in having to endure harassment, intimidation, threats and abuse from a former family member,” Frye wrote. But Frye said she never talked about it with the governor or mentioned the idea of asking Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan to fire Wooten. Right.
Todd Palin said he never pressured anyone– including his wife. In fact, he says that after talking about the matter with her repeatedly, she finally told him to “drop it.””Anyone who knows Sarah knows she is the governor and she calls the shots,” Todd Palin wrote. “I make no apologies for wanting to protect my family and wanting to publicize the injustice of a violent trooper keeping his badge.” Right, so why was he so adamant about meeting with her top aides despite her position on the issue? The bottom line is that Todd Palin’s behavior will be the very same if his wife becomes the vice president of America. He will be the “shadow VP.” Can we afford to have a whole bunch of idiots running the White House and still retain our dignity in the world? I don’t think so. Be very wary of the “Shadow Governor” of Alaska, who once belonged to a separatist party. Be very wary….
