Lisa LaVoie, 24, to be Charged With Enticement of a Child After Being Caught with 15-Year-Old Student in WV Hotel Room

I don’t usually advocate violence, but as a parent of two boys, I’ll personally take a baseball bat to the head of the teacher who approaches either of them for a sexual relationship. The latest vermin in a classroom is Lisa Lavoie, 24, who taught at Maurice Donahue Elementary School. She was taken into custody by local police in West Virginia and will be charged with enticement of a child, which is a felony. The cops found the missing 15-year-old boy last night in a hotel room in Morgantown, West Va., with Lavoie, his eighth-grade teacher.

The boy’s mother reportedly contacted the school on February 13, saying she was concerned about the relationship her son had with Lavoie, a first-year teacher. Authorities were unable to question the first-year teacher because she had left for the day as the school went on a one-week break. The boy’s parents reported him missing Feb. 16. Holyoke Detective David Usher was able to track the pair to the hotel by using financial and cellular communication records, Holyoke Police Chief Anthony R. Scott said.

What gives these teachers, male and female, the right to violate someone else’s child? When the justice system starts sending a zero-tolerance message to these scumbags and child predators, then it will continue. This woman knew exactly what she was doing and that it was just plain wrong. She preyed upon this boy and God knows how many other boys she engaged in sexual improprieties with. Teachers like Lisa Lavoie are going to mess with the wrong person’s kid and will pay a price beyond imagination. That will be a welcome occurrence.

Vice President Dick Cheney Apologizes for His West Virginia Family Joke

According to The Swamp, Vice President Dick Cheney has managed to insult the people of West Virginia with some off-cuff comments recently. West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin has called on Dick Cheney to apologize for remarks he made about the state and the vice president has indeed apologized.

Cheney had spoken of his family history and said he had Cheneys from both sides of his family. “And we don’t even live in West Virginia,” Cheney said. “You can say those things when you’re not running for re-election.” Okay, that was “brilliant.”

Manchin, who defended the state said in a statement on his Web site “I truly cannot believe that any vice president of the United States, regardless of their political affiliation, would make such a derogatory statement about my state or any state for that matter.” Manchin said .”West Virginia is home to some of the most patriotic people in the nation and our sons and daughters have answered the call to duty every time a president has needed their service. They deserve better from the vice president, and so I would simply ask for his apology.”

“The vice president’s off-hand comment was not meant to hurt anyone,” said Lea Anne McBride, spokeswoman for Cheney. “On reflection, he concluded that it was an inappropriate attempt at humor that he should not have made. The vice president apologizes to the people of West Virginia for the inappropriate remark.” In his remarks, Cheney said that his wife was researching a book, when she noticed that his grandmother was descended from a Richard Cheney.

During a question-and-answer period following a speech, the vice president said he has distant roots which connect him to Sen. Barack Obama. Cheney said he would not object to a family reunion with Obama, but that the presidential candidate might not want one before November.”He’d probably be fearful I might whisper in his ear and change his whole view of the Middle East,” Cheney said. What a comedian! Seems like a lot of President Bush’s ways have indeed rubbed off on him.
